What is First Friday?
First Friday premiered in Nyack on July 5th 2013, and began as a town wide event. It was an opportunity to meet and socialize with members of the Nyack Art Collective who were exhibiting their art in venues throughout Nyack.
Over the years the Nyack Art Collective artists became less scattered throughout the town and were showing art primarily at Casa del Sol, on Main Street in Nyack. We hosted a free, public reception on the First Friday of every month with music, food and art!

With the onset of the Coronavirus in March 2020, the Nyack Art Collective was forced to adapt. We moved online and held our First Friday reception through Zoom and our gallery resided on Facebook, Instagram and on our website.
Our in-person exhibits resumed in July 2021, with a show at the Valley Cottage Library. Since then, we have exhibited in galleries, restaurants and libraries throughout Rockland County. Follow our Facebook and Instagram posts to see where we are currently showing.
