I'm curious about patterns: the ones found in nature, culture, families, and fabric. Through my art, I want to live in the context of another and examine our roles and connection. My work uses tools, decor, and domesticated animals to give special focus to the elements that create our layered and complex environments. They symbolize special conditions that may have yielded today’s circumstances. Each piece asks the viewer to consider the humanity of others, our connection to the other, and the social agreements we’ve made, past and present.
