In this collection, I explore the vibrant interplay of nature, color, and texture. My work is deeply rooted in a lifelong fascination with the organic world, particularly the fleeting beauty of flowers and the rhythmic flow of movement.
Drawing from my background in henna artistry, I am captivated by how vines and blossoms traverse the human form. This series bridges that experience with my interest exploring imperfections of nature and the serene.
Inspired by macro photography, these paintings represent a shift in focus—moving closer to the subject. By layering texture, I aim to give these floral forms a sense of physical depth and presence. I invite the viewer to pause and find stillness within the bloom.

Maria Fernandes
I paint in oil primarily in the style of traditional realism. I love the act of painting- the feel of holding a paint brush, the tiny moments of joy when my brush, loaded with paint, touches a canvas with intention.
