September 16 - November 30, 2025
Artist Reception November 9, 3-5 pm
Tony Staniscia and Debbie Silberberg have been friends for 50 years. Tony is an acrylic painter who favors nature as his subject matter. Debbie cajoled her old friend to show his work. Having conceived of this exhibition, she selected a number of his works as inspiration and utilizing her own multi media approach, created specifically connected works.

Anthony Staniscia
Tony Staniscia is a retired Architect and a self-taught painter. Tony is interested in depicting nature in a realistic manner. He typically works by creating a collage of photographs that represents the overall composition and wrestles into it a perspective. He is developing a coarse brush technique to replicate the realism of nature.
Tony works exclusively with acrylic paint because they can be thinned with water which supports layering and depth. They are also easy to clean up and quick drying, which supports family life.
Born in the Bronx, Tony lived in Co-op City, the world’s largest housing development, for 17 years before buying an 1870 farmhouse in Orange County. He has been married to his lovely wife, Jeanette, for 39 years and has a married daughter and a grandson.
