I love the smell of paint! My motto is “Use what you’ve got!” My favorite quote is “It’s a good thing I move or she would paint me too!” (Ken Burns, Husband & Artist). As a child, I loved rearranging rooms & painting walls in my mom’s house, so to furnish my own home, I have up-cycled everything from family heirlooms to junk picked up on the side of the road; using the beautiful colors of Annie Sloane Chalk Paint & Benjamin Moore. My artistic inspiration has always been the talented people of the Nyack Art Collective & today, as Co-President, I hope to use the skills I developed as a crafter to develop the skills of an artist & make my Art; what ever that will be.
