Carol Porter Maurer is a Hudson Valley artist who is known for capturing emotion through a mix of contemporary and classical painting. A former project manager with a Business Information Systems degree from Mercy College, Maurer balanced a career as a project manager with her artistic development. She was mentored by Zygmund "Zyg" Jankowski (North Shore Boston MA.) and Dan Gibbons (Brooklyn NY) and has showcased her work in many Tri State Area juried exhibitions. In addition, she is a tireless enthusiast for life drawing. Her current Jazz Series is a visual tribute to her deep-seated love of music.
