Jamey Jackson 

Jamey Jackson was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio where he lived until attending the Columbus College of Art and Design where he acquired his BFA. Jamey worked as an illustrator and graphic designer, his path leading him from Ohio to Michigan and eventually to his current home in West Nyack, New York where he works as a design director for a leading party goods manufacturer. Jamey explores many mediums and techniques to convey his subjects but he is particularly drawn to watercolor and its somewhat unpredictable behavior. Primarily a representational artist, he utilizes watercolor’s dynamic properties to bring energy and vitality to each piece. Regardless of approach, Jamey’s goal is to convey the true essence of the subject to the viewer, and conjure something as simple as a smile or, perhaps deeper thoughts and feelings¬.
