I have been an artist all of my life. I am also an actor/singer and musical theater writer; which is why, perhaps, I love the drama of color and line. My work had always been about the face and the figure, the emotion and the form … and color. No matter how abstract, I had always worked from life.

 

Through the pandemic I've added virtual sittings with my subjects, as well as botanicals and landscapes as my "models" hoping to capture their essence too as I do with the figure. The new normal :) Like the audience at a play, I immerse myself totally in the emotion of the model, the still life or the landscape. The result, on paper or canvas, is my giddy applause.
