Doris Shepherd Wiese

As a child , I was fascinated by the extraordinary images In National Geographic. My parents gave me a camera at age 10 & I fell in love with photography. This love has continued to grow & I have had the good fortune to photograph in some of the exotic lands I dreamed of as a child.

I graduated from Pratt institute with a BFA in Advertising Design and began my career as a graphic designer with an integrated marketing communications company, specializing in prestigious photographic accounts. I was the President & Chief Operating Officer until retiring.

My images have been featured in print and on-line advertising, packaging and collateral materials appearing in major photographic media. I have had solo & or group shows at the Adirondack Center for the Arts, The Art Gallery at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, The Blue Hill Art & Cultural Center, Hopper House and as a member of the the Nyack Art Collective have exhibited at numerous venues throughout Rockland County, NY. Many images are in private collections. My photo expeditions have taken me to East & South Africa, India, Indonesia, the Falklands, South Georgia, Alaska, Antarctica, Central & South America, the Amazon, Iceland and the Arctic.
